For my CHOSEN WORK SAMPLE I have chosen to look at my drafting and revision process for Project #2. I chose this particular project because I felt this is the piece I put the most time into, not only during my drafting process but I spent a lot of time thinking about the articles I was using and how I was going to build an articulate and thoughtful paper. Besides adding more content between my two drafts for Project #2, I had to reread what I wrote in my first draft before moving onto my second draft. I do this during all of my writing projects because it allows me to either catch any small mistakes or grammatical errors I have made before moving on, and it also allows me to get back on my train of thought with the ideas in this paper. This process also lets me stay on track, not losing the flow of the paper so it leaves the reader confused with the message or meaning I had behind my writing. Between my first draft and my second draft on Project #2, I changed my introduction of the articles I was using, making it clearer to the reader about what these articles were about and I began introducing the argument or topic I was going to be writing about. I think the most important thing I’ve learned and taken away from this type of writing process is that thoughtful writing can’t take place in one sitting, I have to spend a lot of time thinking about the ideas in these different articles and how to bring them together in a thoughtful and clear way.
